With the development of economic globalization, international capital speeds up to flow around the world, the relationship between the environment and investment has become an increasing concern of people. How to deal with foreign invest and the environment to promote the central region of green economic development and sustainable development is a focus of future work. The problem of the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and the ecological environment in central China has being become an important issue with practical significance.In this paper, the theme of the study is eco-environmental effect of FDI in Central China, arising from the economics of the reasons for the environment problems, theories of the relationship between FDI and the environment , analysis and describes of the present statement of FDI and environment in Central China, then using a Econometric model of FDI and the ecological environment in central region to interpret the environment effect of FDI by empirical analysis, and the mechanism of FDI on the ecological environment. And get the conclusions and the corresponding regional policy recommendations at last. There are six chapters: Chapter one is the introduction. In this section, we describe background and significance of the research; introduce the study statement of FDI and environment at home and abroad; and give the paper's research, research ideas and methods in this article. Chapter two is the theories' review of FDI and the ecological environment. Chapter three is the current statements of FDI and environment in central China. In this chapter, we reflect the current the state through a large amount of data and the corresponding statistics chart in central region and describe the characteristics of foreign investment in the environment. Chapter four is the empirical analysis on Environmental Impact of FDI in Central China. In this section, we establish a simultaneous equations model, from the scale, structure, technical three aspects to analysis the effect of FDI on the environment emissions (industrial waste water, industrial waste gas, solid industrial emissions). Chapter five is the mechanism of the impacts of FDI on the environment. In this chapter, we analyze the reasons for the inflow of FDI and five ways of FDI's impact. There are effect of element increasing, the effect of the industrial structure, the revenue effect of the mechanism, and social responsibility. Chapter six is the conclusion and suggestions. We sum up the conclusions in front of the theoretical and empirical analysis, and then put forward policy proposals based on the earlier analysis and conclusions.The paper has the results as follows: In Central China, FDI has a negative impact on the environment on the whole; the scale and structure effect on eco-environment is negative while the technical effect is positive; and environmental control of inflow of foreign capital is not obvious.
