Research On The Trust Of The Fourth Party Logistics' Subcontract

The research of logistics subcontract management is not only a leading-edge research topics in disciplines of Logistics Management, but also a more complex management problem in practice. Currently, the Fourth Party Logistics ( 4PL) of the study mainly concentrates in the 4PL,concepts,classifications,role, functions, features, building systems, components framework, operational modalities, decision support systems and development strategies. However, there is little research about the subcontractors management of the 4PL.This paper provides the theoretical basis for the establishment of a relatively stable coalition of 4PL.This paper combined with the predecessors'research on 4PL and the issue of trust, and proposed the sub-4PL relationship of trust and established the model of game theory. The following is the main parts which were discussed in the paper: (1) By discussing the existing domestic and foreign research results, this paper gave a comprehensive account of 4PL existing research results from the concept and the characteristics of 4PL, the mode of operation 4PL and business processes and so on. (2) This paper stated the meaning of the trust. What is more, it summarized the basic functions from the aspects of sociology, economics and management.(3)This paper analyzed the characteristics of trust in the 4PL's subcontract , and then discussed the function of faith in the 4PL's subcontract's management from four aspects. The discussion especially focused on the relationship of trust-building mechanism and influencing factors in the 4PL's subcontract. (4)It establish a game theory model, and analyzed the faith and lost the trust between 4PL providers and subcontractors from Economic Analysis, and then, this paper conducted on the member's effect, the overall performance and value overflow in the asymmetric of trust of sub-4PL. By analyzing various trust model, it found that the asymmetric confidence would produce a negative impact on social welfare, logistics and effectiveness between 4PL providers and subcontractors.Finally, this paper summarized the research results, and analyzed the shortcomings, and then, discussed the future research directions.
