Study On The Tension Between Technology And Ethnic

This dissertation is targeted to analyze the relationship between technology and ethnic in the viewpoint of meta-ethnics. The theoretic foundation is the dual-nature and dialectic relation of technology and ethnic. Through systemically analyzing their essence and dual-nature and combing out those typical arguments about the relationship in history, this dissertation holds that a reasonable tension should be maintained between technology and ethnic, and accordingly produces some systemic and pertinent suggestions and methodological principles for what boundary the tension should be maintained within, why the tension should be maintained and how the tension is maintained.This dissertation includes four parts as follows:In the first part, the meta-problem is analyzed. The content covers the concept, essence and dual-nature of technology and ethnic, and the general relationship between technology and ethnic is discussed.In the second part, related theory about the relationship between technology and ethnic is briefly commented on. The technological determinism, social constructionism and technology-ethnic indepedentism are combed out, which are three typical theories about the relationship between technology and ethnic in the present age, as well as some representative western scholars'discussion on the relationship are concerned, and then a brief comment is made on their success and failure, serving as a theoretical foreshadowing for the third part.In the third part, it is analyzed that a reasonable tension should be maintained between technology and ethnic. On the basis of producing that a reasonable tension should be maintained between technology and ethnic, this part mainly discusses the necessity, possibility, significance and value that a reasonable dynamic tension should be maintained between technology and ethnic.In the fourth part, the methodological principles are suggested for maintaining a reasonable tension between technology and ethnic. The methodological principles are multi-directionally, thoroughly and systemically suggested in such aspects as the boundary determination of the tension, the improvement of legislation on technology, the construction of a harmony personality, the establishment of a reasonable social system, the maintenance of existing rationality of technology and ethnic respectively.
