Research Of Lean Construction And Its Application

As the more drastic competition and higher requirement level of the clients inconstruction industry, more and more problems of it have appeared, such as too muchconstruction wastes and too low-lying efficiency. So, there must be many problems inthe managing and producing modes of construction industry. Correspondingly, thetheory of Lean Production has greatly promoted the development of manufacturingindustry, and Lean Construction, inspired from Lean Production, has been thought asthe most efficient way to enhance the quality of construction product and theproductivity of construction industry. So, there is a strong call for the theory of LeanConstruction being implemented in construction industry to promote its development inChina.This thesis summarizes the theory system of Lean Construction, which is grounding onthe theory of TFV and refers to the aspects of design management, constructionmanagement, flow management and supply chain management.This thesis analyses the application of LPS inland and overseas, the application of LeanConstruction in housing industry inland and overseas, and the application of CM inChina.According to the analyses above, this thesis summarizes the difficulties and processes ofthe application of Lean Construction in China, advances particular advices for theapplication of LPS, CM, and housing industrialization, and advances some advices forthe application of Lean Construction in the main phases of construction project.
