Study On Manufacturing Management Innovation Of Yantai Timken Co.-Details Management

As the development of multinational economics, more and more foreign companies come to invest in China and build their manufacturing base, which both propel Chinese economy and bring their advanced management experiences to Chinese corporations. However these foreign companies are also facing some confusion like why productivity can not keep the same level as their countries with the same equipments.This thesis rolled out initiative study on operations' management issues under above background. Here this thesis will not talk about general management problems for these companies have already got seasoned system, such as ERP, TMP systems. This thesis is mainly about how to improve productivity and efficiency by details management through analysis of problems occurred in operation.This thesis is going to analyze problems and state my understanding of solutions with my own working experiences in Timken Company. This thesis will also use some analysis method like fish bone chart. This thesis points out the most important thing is to have continuous communication with employees, build up effective evaluation system and drive their working enthusiasm in order to improve equipments utilization rate and solve the problem, namely improve productivity without sacrificing quality. Details management has been proved to be an effective way in manufacturing management.This thesis thinks that operation management is a long term and complicated work. In daily work it can't only depend on performance evaluation but implement more details management to make continuous improvement and innovation and provide training to improve quality and productivity.
