Application Study Of TPM In TISCO No.2 Steelmaking Plant

To be the most competitive stainless steel enterprise is the strategic goal of TISCO. No.2 steelmaking Plant is a main production unit in TISCO, now TISCO's strategic goal requires implementing TPM to improve productivity and product quality.This thesis introduces the definition of TPM and its evolution and addresses its key principles. It also discusses the three major factors influencing overall equipment efficiency (OEE). The final purpose for implementing TPM is to eliminate 7 wastes during production, so as to upgrade enterprise's competitiveness.Combining the actual production situation and its characteristics, the thesis analyzes 3 major factors affecting OEE. For machine availability rate, how to manage and eliminate the machine failure is discussed. The thesis addresses how to reduce the down time using flow chart and network diagram of IE, discusses how to optimize machine overhaul through using project management method, and analyzes spare part management through using the calculation model of safety stock. For machine performance rate. It mainly introduces how to calculate the machine ability and optimize production inventory. For quality rate, it analyzes how to monitor the production process by using (X|-) - R control chart.Combing the application of TPM model of No.2 steelmaking plant, this thesis aims to come up with some specific ways based on how to successfully introduce and carry out TPM, hopefully to use the little to get the big ,and provide with valuable thinking for those studying TPM.
