Under "Industry 4.0" and "Made in China 2025" in the background, in order to promote the transformation and upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry, to achieve high-end leap, the role of high-precision automation equipment is becoming increasingly prominent. With the rapid development of mechanical, electronic, visual technology, high-precision automation equipment leads to increasingly complex and longer development cycle, but the consumer electronics increasingly shorter time replacement, this time both the formation of the "scissors", seriously hampered the healthy development of China’s high-precision equipment business. China’s high-precision automation equipment development project extension rate of 91%, even a few can be completed on time, but also pay cost overruns, quality, but off a painful price. Therefore, to enhance the level of equipment development schedule management has a very important significance.In this paper, automatic FOG equipment development project as an example, we discussed in detail the progress of the practical application of management theory in the FOG project. First FOG project brief; in determining the scope of the project prepared WBS breakdown structure, estimating work time, with network planning technology and Microsoft project 2003 software programming schedule FOG initial project, and recognizes the critical path; and then combined with concurrent engineering method forcibly compressed schedule optimization; then use a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis method FOG project schedule risk, and develop coping strategies. Final design FOG project schedule control processes and policies, dynamic monitoring of progress, schedule variance analysis found that the causes and impact, and take measures to eliminate bias. FOG project completed in seven days in advance and passed inspection, than similar equipment development cycles by two months.Results of this study, to enhance the progress of the management level of high-precision automation equipment development projects, shorten equipment development period of a reference value.
