As the city of Chinese earliest access to the aging, Shanghai has reached the average level of developed countries in the aging development. By 2050, Shanghai's elderly population will account for 41.63 percent of the city's population, and people who were in the 1950s and 1960s' baby boomers will be elderly. During this period, Shanghai's aging population will be a rare degree in the world, and then China will enter the peak aging of the population's period. Shanghai is facing a number of problems about what the aging of the population is given to .In this paper, as the subject of the "the research of social insurance policy on population aging trends in Shanghai city" ,it has practical value.In the view of the extent and condition of the current population aging and the aging in Shanghai, demographic trends can be generally divided into three phases.Against the trend of population aging,it analyzes the impact on Shanghai's social insurance.From the social insurance fund structure and the system condition, it reveals that the aging of the population causes the pressure on the social insurance fund and the over impact.It introduces more advanced and practical foreign social insurance system, finds out the inadequacies, and finds what can give us inspiration.Combined with the Shanghai's actual situation, in system, policies, channels, it improves s social insurance system in Shanghai and the life quality of Shanghai's older persons. It smoothly deals with the problems of the population aging and the pension issue.
