Research On Mining Investment Environment Evaluation Of 12 Provinces In Western Region

Along with the increasing emphasis on the development of backward areas, westernregion has been given widespread concern. The most important advantage in west region isits abundant mineral resources, and the vital question is how to capitalize these advantagesinto economic development. Mining investment environment's perfection plays a key rolefor the western region to attract talent, capital and technology. In addition, the mininginvestment environment is cross-point of the meso-investment environment and industry'sinvestment environment, its research has important theoretical and practical significance.Firstly, this article describes the background, meaning and final goal of this researchand demonstrates the mining investment environment's current research situation at homeand abroad.Secondly, this article analyses the mining investment environment-related definitionand theories, in order to give theoretical basis of building a mining investment environmentevaluation system.Thirdly, it gives basis research on western region's economic strength and miningdevelopment, and analyzes mining's contribution to economics.This article focuses on the 12 western provinces'mining investment environmentevaluation. Based on the previous studies, it creates the mining investment environmentcomprehensive evaluation index system. Then use this system to evaluate the of 12provinces and find the problems in western mining investment environment: rich in mineralresources, low level of development and utilization; the construction of infrastructure andlow standard of living; shortage of mining skills and talent; imperfect mining market.Finally, through quantitative and qualitative analysis, this paper gives the suggestionsto improve the mining investment environment according the existing problems. Includingincrease the geological survey fund; improve the local infrastructure; raise the level of scientific research and human resources; well-establish the mining markets; anddevelop circular economy.This study aims at giving suggestions in improving the mining investmentenvironment in response to the proposals for the government and the western provinces.Also, it provides decision-making basis for the mining investors. Through substantialimprovements in mining investment environment in the western region, it promotes thedevelopment of mining, making the western adequate resources advantages into economicadvantages, and finally achieves economic growth and balanced development of our region.
