In recent years, with the sharp increase of urban tourism, the research on urban tourism catches more and more attention. It mainly focuses on the related theory discussion of urban tourism, the research about city tourism image, the discussion of development model, the structure and system analysis of urban tourism as well as the development planning and building of urban tourism .In a sense, the studies of the driving force is the foundation of development and planning of the urban tourism, so this aspect should be given broader and further discussion. However, on one hand the studies concerning the force system are fewer and fewer, on the other hand, some researchers always point that only some single factor promotes the urban tourism. Xinjiang's travel resource is enrich but not distributed balancely, and the cities in oasis have a large bearing capacity, therefore, the study regarding to the force driving of urban tourism in Xinjiang oasis city appears necessarily from the tour system.By combining the knowledge of tourism geography, oasis as well as other related fields of study and employing them into greatest play, this paper makes a specific analysis on urban tourism. This paper chooses the needs system of tourism, the intermediary system of tourism, the supporting system of tourism and the attractive power system of tourism as the primary indexes. With the rest thirty-two subordination indexes, they constitute index system of the force driving system of tourism. By Principal Component Analysis it confirms the weight of the indexes. It works out comprehensive evaluating results according to the multi-index and comprehensive evaluating model. It divides the eleven cities into three types by Hierarchical Cluster Procedures. The first type includes Urumqi and Korla, which develop well in the force driving system of tourism, and the level is advanced. The second type includes Karamay, ShiHezi, Hami, Changji and Altay, which are insufficient for the needs of the force driving system of tourism. The third type includes Turpan, Yining, Kashgar and Hotan, which are outstanding in the needs system and the intermediary system of tourism and inadequate for the supporting system. The strategies and propositions for how to improve the force driving of Xinjiang urban tourism are also presented in the article on the basis of city rankings and types.
