In the different scale criterion, we can discover the mutual function relations among different type and structure of land use nature, society and economic factors, which may cause different land use/cover changing process. This paper took the Dongping county which was the typical example county in Regional Hills of Yimeng as an example and discussed the land use/cover change and its driving force .The main results were as follows:This article firstly analyzed the areas of land-use types which had changed in Dongping County, information about the changes of land-use structure was acquired during 2005 to 2008, after overlaying the two periods land-use map status quo, using spatial analysis packages of MapGIS6.7 software, and external statistics tools. The transition matrix obtained can reveal the spatial land-use pattern changes in Dongping County. Then, coupled with the statistics from local yearbook, driving forces of cultivated land changes were analyzed via DPS (data process software). Indicators of each principal component were calculated according to the eigenvalues of each of them, and driving forces of cultivated land in this period can acquired. Finally, driving models of cultivated land in this period were established using multi-regression analysis, on the basis of the results analyzed above. The results indicate, and population, turnover, annual temperature and labor force of farm, forest, fishery/total labor force are that during 2005-2008.
