Enterprise informationization is a process in which enterprises make use of modem information technology, develop and use information resources to raise the efficiency and level of production ,operation, management and decision-making with an aim to promote the economic returns and competitiveness of enterprises. The core is lowering cost, improving management and promoting the reform of management.The study of enterprise informationization and management reform is to explore how to utilize enterprise informationization to improve management and upgrade the management ideas which promotes the informinization process at the same time. Through interactive , they can improve economic and social returns of enterprises. Enterprise informationization is a systematic project. Its birth and growth is a gradual process. It is based on the fundamental changes in the structure of property right, mode of organization and operation and pattern of interest. Management Reform through the application of information technology ,in essence ,is a process to innovate the concept ,the system and management.Infromtionization can expedite management reform at enterprises, improve the level and efficency of management and operation, making management scientific ,standard systematic and optimum.Liaoyang petrochemical company (LYPC) is a large state-owned enterprise affiliated to petro-china .It mainly involves the production of PTA, PET chip, adipic acid and other products. The work on information system of management at LYPC began in 1985. Various information system of management were established for different sectors of production and operation realizing the informationization of management. The research and development is done jointly by mformation technology branch company of LYPC and other professional software companies. Information technology branch company of LYPC is in charge of its maintenance .The systems in place include OA, plan and approval, contract management, document management for the operation and maintenance sector, resource management for certain sectors and operation and analysis for the exchange sector. All these systems promote the automation of management, greatly improve the effect of management. This article systematically analyze the key factors, problems and solutions in the operation of the systems through studying the operation of part of the management information system at LYPC,. It also studies the changes to the management in various sectors at LYPC brought by the informanization and how to further improve the operation of information management system, promote management reform by combining theories about information management system so that information management system can play a real role as a information platform and further promote the management of enterprises.
