Facing of the even-changing market environment, organizations are looking for flexible ways to deal with. In the highly technology integration high-tech industry, by the way which have complex tasks, the advantage of team work become apparent. With the wide range of work style as team in software projects, how to make the team more efficiently become a hotspot in the industry and the theory circle. In the team, members need have open minds, and reflect on their own beliefs. At the same time through variety of ways to share knowledge within team, so that the beliefs and value systems will be optimized. So the intellectual capital will be shared by those members of the team. Therefore, there is no doubt that shared mental model brings software project teams a fresh potential in setting up the channel of the internal structure for shared knowledge.The software industry is the core of the information industries, which is the strategic industry being related the state economy and the social development. In the international environment, China's software enterprise faced with a bigger competition. How to develop itself and how to strengthen its own competition is the point in front of each software enterprise. And the core competition of the software enterprise is how to supervise software project team.Based on the former literature summary discussion foundation, this article has carried on the reliability and validity test to the revised meter of shared mental model, team communication and team performance. And it is analyzed that the relationship among shared mental model, team communication and team performance. The main conclusions are as following:(1) In general, shared mental model has a significant positive correlation with team performance. And the understanding of task and project management, the professional knowledge and skills mastered by team members, as well as the internal communication among team members and the clear understanding of working relationship among team members, have significantly positive correlation to performance. Partial correlation analysis shows that team communication don't play mediating effect between shared mental models and team performance. (2) When there is a high degree of accordance in shared mental model among team members, the shared mental model will play a greater impact on team performance.(3) Partial correlation analysis shows that team communication doesn't play the role of intermediary between shared mental model and team performance.Finally, in accordance with the above findings, this study makes constructive suggestions for software project teams in how to effectively improve the performance. And the limitations of this study and future research directions are pointed out at the end.
