Together with the rapid development of information technology, China’s software market has reached a considerable scale and is still expanding. In recent years, the domestic software market hasreached a situations that several giant players dominated the market, with a large number of foreign branches anddomestic independent R&D institutions have grown bigger and stronger as the entire market expanded quickly. In this competitive background, the key to realize enterprise scaleexpansion and profit growth is how to seize the opportunity to actively innovate, especially for the financial industry, which is highly dependent on information technology. In the past10years, domestic software enterprises such as INSPUR, HUNDSUN, Kingdom and foreign giants such as IBM, SAP, EMC, Oracle,Microsoft, all kept strong concern on the rapid growing Chinese markets andkept expanding their investment in software R&D. However, on the other hand, the financial software development cost, which is mostly constituted by human cost, has been rising. Therefore, the old pattern of bringing foreign ready-made technology to domestic market with just chinesization and slight modification can’t be sustained any more. This is especially true when it comes to the professional application system, which is highly coupled with corresponding business knowledge. Projects often fail because of improper understanding of clients’true needs.Thisphenomenonbrings a new challenge to the current R&D team performance, encourages software enterprises to speed up their adjustment on team structure and management mode. Therefore, based on the mental model and behavior theories, this paper intends to build the influence factor model of R&D teamperformance on financial information system field. The research is made based on the conclusion of experimental study of S company’s, which is conducted after empirical analysis throughquestionnaire and structure equation. Then, the influence factors of the mechanism are discussed and management advices are put forward.Through an in-depth study of domestic and foreignrelated literatures on innovation team performance and organization behavior theory, this paper has formed a model from the angle of sharing behavior by integrating previous studies on team performance affecting factors. The main influence factors of the hypothetical model include knowledge sharing and team shared mental model (which can be divided into task-based shared mental model and team shared mental model). In this paper, the author developed a structured questionnaire tailored for the R&D team of S company where the author works; then, through empirical analysis of the model and statistical data analysis by using SPSS and AMOS software, the author tried to verify the hypothesis of the model. After the research, it is found that knowledge-sharing level, just as effective as task-oriented and team-oriented mental-sharing patterns, plays a greatly positive rolein teamperformance. However, it is not proven yet that there is link between these two mental-sharing patterns. In addition, knowledge-sharing also acts as an intermediary variable factor between mental-sharing pattern and team performance. In the end, according to the above factors affecting team performance, managerial suggestions are provided targeted to S company according to its current situation and problem.
