Successful innovation is vital for firm survival in modern services industries. Service innovation involves service concept innovation, service process innovation and clients' innovation and it has more informal or temporary innovation than technology innovation. With the unifying of the world economy and the knowledge globalization, more and more hardly can an enterprise gain its superiority of competition only by its own resources. Thus spurs the enterprise to put its focal point of improving its superiority of competition on how to effectively integrate its resources inner and outside, to enhance its capability of knowledge creation and technology innovation. Nevertheless, the corporation and association with the outside enterprises are based on the well social capital, with the character of social organization, e.g. network, criterion and credit.With the development of economic globalization, enterprises will win competitive advantage by continuously improving innovation capability, not only by the possession of scarce resources. However, any firm cannot satisfy the need of innovation resources only depending upon its internal limited resources. Firms, therefore, are striding forward to open, collaborative, network and dynamic integration in order to effectively make use of their internal and external resources. Thus, it is of value to research on the relationship between corporate social capital and innovative performance.The whole thesis consists of seven chapters. Chapter one introduces the background of the research, puts forward the question, summarizes the train thought of research and structure frame of the thesis. The second chapter is a study of enterprise social capital, as well as the theoretical basis for innovative services. The third chapter is to examine the composition of enterprise social capital and the path how to build enterprise social. The fourth chapter describes the characteristics of service innovative, including innovative content, the basic types of sources. Chapter five is the study of impact mechanism that the enterprise social capital to the performance of service innovation and described the different dimensions of social capital to the performance of service innovation. Chapter six is the empirical analysis based on the theory and verifies the assumptions based on data analysis. Chapter seven is the conclusion and prospects, pointing out that the study of innovation and inadequate.
