Employee turnover and turnover intention remains one of the most widely researched topics in organizational analyses. This paper first reviewed the major studies about employee turnover at home and abroad. Then made an questionnaire, which abstracted the supervisor behavior as an antecedent, to investigate the effects of supervisors' behavior on employees' turnover intention of five large retailing enterprises in Ningbo. The results show that supervisors' behavior is significantly negatively related to employees' turnover intention. Moreover, the four dimensions of supervisors' behavior—concern for employees' interests , communication and information sharing, job motivation, value recognition, have different effects on employees' turnover intention. Finally this paper made an explorative analysis and discussion about the results, meanwhile proposed some managerial measurements.
