With China's continuous economic growth together with the improvement of people's life standard, Chinese sports business is at the turning point of being industrialized.2008 Beijing Olympic Games could not only accelerate China's sports' industrialization, but also brings new opportunities as well.This article is based on the purpose and reason of M&A. According to the procedures of some classic M&A cases in sports industry all over the world, to analysis the general economic conditions and the general environment the sports industry was at when those cases occurred, and then find the purpose and reason of M&A, finally to compare and tell the differences occurred during M&A between China and rest of the world.Through the comparison of those cases discussed above, all the M&A in sports industry aim to make Economies of scale and Synergy. However, the Chinese organization which invested at domestic sports industry only focused on how to increase or enlarge the size of business rather than maximizing the profit. Also, the purpose of M&A of our domestic sports industry has its own special economic and policy background.Finally, there are some suggestions for the development of domestic sports industry.
