On the basic of a large number of Chinese and foreign literatures, and the theory ofcomplexity science and innovation management, this paper makes a study on therelationship between organizational flexibility and innovation performance. Based onthe survey data on middle&senior managers of126enterprises in Shaanxi province,the study verifies a hypothesis model of the correlation between organizationalflexibility and innovation performance.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: Firstly, the impact oforganizational flexibility on innovation performance can be implemented by three ways:directly work, indirectly work on IP (innovation performance) through organizationmanagement system and organization management efficiency. Secondly, during theshort stage of enterprise development, organizational flexibility has a positive effect onIP; then, in the whole development period, the changing relation between organizationalflexibility and IP shows an inverted U-shaped trajectory. And lastly, in the process ofpromoting the positive effect of organizational flexibility on IP, it is necessary forenterprise to increase the organizational flexibility, enhance the flexibility oforganization management system, improve the organization efficiency, and meantimemonitor and maintain the basis of organizational stability.
