In the background of joining the WTO and the economic globalization, foreign retailer invested in China heavily. Currently, although they have not yet captured the retail market completely, high speed of shop setting, large scale of purchase and high level of benefits has already made the Chinese retailers feel keenly crisis. Because the retailer of our country has already begun to form scale,the market concentration degree of the chain supermarket is higher, having greater power, so it cause the contradictions of the retailer and supplier, have damaged the interests of both sides. So it's a vital task to harmonize the relationship between retailers and suppliers, for the reason of making a perfect circulation system, a normative market order and an evaluative supply chain.The method with theoretic and practice is adopted in this dissertation, analyze the contradiction between retailers and suppliers from the phenomenon. Firstly, The article elaborated on China's dominant retailer in the status of co-operation. Then analyze the reasons from the retailer - supplier in the right channels in a serious imbalance in China's commercial and institutional environment deficiencies. Secondly, under the previous theoretical basis and analysis of the practice of this paper, then create retailers– suppliers cooperation from the choice of partners for cooperation, the choice of cooperation mode in the supply chain as well as the elimination of obstacles to construct the retailer and supplier partnerships. Finally, the article analyze risks in the process of cooperate possible, including the ability to risk, the risk of moral hazard and risk distribution, and then establish effective risk prevention mechanisms, including confidence-building mechanism, incentive mechanism and a mechanism to assume the risk. By the end described cooperative relations between Metro Group and suppliers in the case study and analyzed successful factors.
