Along with the economy globalization and Chinese Market opening to the world, Chinese retailer meet great opportunity and Challenge at the same time. From the foreign and domestic retailer's SCM commercial practice, we can tell the bottle neck to get competition advantage is the cooperation relationship between retailer and its suppliers. The foreign companies have found a way to solve this problem, and how to creatively build and improve this relationship in Chinese market is vital to domestic retailer's strategy realization, To learn from the successful companies and achieve supply chain competition advantage is our main task in this study. This paper provides a theoretical analysis of cooperation with suppliers in SCM and the actual SCM practice of Carrefour in Chinese retailing market in order to find a suitable cooperation relationship with suppliers, which will bring competition advantage to Chinese retailers. In this paper, we theoretically study supplier evaluation, selection, cooperation and information technology supporting in SCM. Through the analyzing of Carrefour's commercial practice, a summarization on its supplier evaluation principles and key indicators, suppliers distinguish and development strategy are given. The practice that Carrefour sharing its retailing resources with its business partners, developing its private brands, and as a leading company to manage its supply resources can prove that the good relationship with the suppliers is an important source to get supply chain's competition advantage.
