Along with development of market economy, China media economy entered most stirring period. Media market mechanism is being transited from government managed market to government supervision market, and from media monopoly market to open market. Media operation mechanism is being transited from governmental units to corporations. However, many media corporations still keep old mechanism of personnel management which blocks the growth of media industry.Human resource in knowledge economy age is the most important strategic resource of the country and society. Human resource is the core of media industry competition. AB Media Corporation faces the big task how to win the war of talent competition. Performance evaluation is the important means and the fundament of recuirment, promotion, training and salary evaluation. Recently AB Media Corporation improved its business, but met many issues on HR performance evaluation. These issues restrict the development and growth of AB Media Corporation.This paper firstly expatiates and analyses the relevant theories of HR management and performance evaluation on HR management. These theories are the base of designing the scientific HR performance evaluation for AB Media Corporation. Secondly, this paper analyses the shortage of HR performance evaluation of AB Media Corporation.Then it points out the direction how to improve its evaluation system using the successful expirences of overseas media corporations which includes designing the scientific performance evaluation system, improving performance evaluation environment and fulfilling safeguards of performance evaluation. In the end, this paper established performance evaluation system according to competition strategy, organization hierarchy and salary system of AB Media Corporation.This paper mainly research on practice performance evalution theory of human resource management in media industry, and discuss the application of performance evaluation in media industry. The exploring research in this paper still need to be verified in the future practice. This paper focused on the characters of media industry to create effective performance evaluation system and expects to improve corporation operations and achieve more development in more hard competitions.
