Research On Ancillary Services Pricing In The Electric Power Market

With the Separation of power plants and Grid firms,ancillary services suppliers can't gain reasonable compensation,and are in a disadvantage position during the completion of power plants.As a result,the reasonable pricing to ancillary services is a very important study.In this paper,on the basis of the principles of operation and quantitative analysis of the cost of several main ancillary services,electricity value equivalent is introduced.And as to different characters of kinds of ancillary services,the paper adopts different pricing methods.Such as,Probabilistic practical electricity value equivalent pricing method for Operating reserve and AGC,and equivalent-value reactive power price.The use of these methods takes full account of the capacity of the cost of ancillary services,so as to solve the existing problem of insufficient compensation.and it is also a better incentive to the ancillary services provider.
