In recent years, wind power has developed rapidly and the numbers of large-scale wind farms connected with grid has been increased gradually in China, which has brought new challenges to the safe and stable operation of power system, increase the auxiliary service demand, and affect economic interest relationship of market body.It has theoretical and practical value for analysis the operating condition with large scale wind power connected power grid, researching calculation method for quantificating auxiliary service demand caused by wind power, establishing ancillary service cost compensation mechanism.In this paper, the economical and technological safeguard measures at home and abroad for large scale wind power access to grid is summarized. The practice shows that, the implementation of large-scale wind power development needs matching of sufficient flexible power supply and storage facilities, improving wind power prediction ability and operation characteristics, and implementing effective pricing policy, financial subsidies, preferential tax policies and so on; By analysis the differences of the output power characteristics between the single wind farm and combination of different wind farm, it has verified that the output power of wind farms with joint operation has spatial smoothness and when the scale of wind is large enough, the output power characteristics close to Weibull distribution. The Weibull distribution expression is obtained by using least squares method. The models for quantifying the demand of reserve, peak regulation and AGC caused by wind power connecting to grid are established separately based on reliability method, the difference between peak and valley contrast method and rolling average method. The validity of the model is verified through the example analysis which shows that, with the increasing of wind power access to grid, the demand of AGC, reserve capacity and peak regulation capacity decrease in the unit installed capacity of wind power. According to the current auxiliary service management mechanism in China, the total cost of auxiliary service allocation method based on the proportion of auxiliary service cause wind power in total auxiliary service demand in power system is proposed, which would offer reasonable compensation for the auxiliary service offers. The use of the quota system to solve the auxiliary service problems caused by wind power is undertook preliminarily.
