The research of corporate entrepreneurship has been focus in the field of strategic management, entrepreneurship research and firm growth management since 1990.Jarillo(1989) pointed that taking advantage of external network to acquire resources was the essence of corporate entrepreneurship.In the condition of network economy,Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will strengthen the contact with other organizations,and their social capital proclaims the size of corporate external network,also represents an ability to absorb resources indirectly,so it will affect corporate entrepreneurship.Jenssen(1999) pointed that most literatures about the social network and entrepreneurship assumed that resources obtained from social networks can affect corporate entrepreneurship,but he found resources were not taken as a middle variable between the network(social capital) and the entrepreneurship in most of the studies,and it was also lack of empirical study.Having drawn from the thought of Jenssen(1999),with the help of Covin&Slevin(1991) entrepreneurial orientation concept model,and combined with the social capital theory,resource-dependence theory and the theory of resource acquisition,this paper sets up a primary theoretical frame of the thesis:SMEs' social capital-resource acquisition-entrepreneurial orientation,and analyses the impact mechanism of SMEs' social capital on entrepreneurial orientation in perspective of resources acquisition。Through the way of reliability analysis and factor analysis,this paper takes the investigation data for reliability&validity inspection and makes some index classifications by dint of SPSS 17.0 software.With correlation analysis,it explores and compares not only the impact of SMEs' three aspects of social capital on resource acquisition and entrepreneurial orientation,but also the impact of resource acquisition on entrepreneurial orientation.At last,it demonstrates the mediation effects of resource acquisition between SMEs' social capital and entrepreneurial orientation with correlation analysis and regression analysis.
