In modern economy, which is characterized by information and globalization, great changes have taken place in the environment and method of competition. As the core of corporate operation, mind identity has an influence on every aspect of corporate management, and then, determines the transformation of competition superiority. However, studies on corporate mind identity in our country start late and are relatively weak. Theorist researches often stay in the level of design, introduction and recognition, and can not correspond to the actual need of business enterprises to acquire competitive advantage. To a certain extent, the fact accelerates the emergence of deviation between theories and practices. In accordance with this problem, this article will regard the achievement of competitive advantage as the purpose of investigating in mind identity. The research of mind identity is pushed ahead so that the competitive advantage will be achieved when the mind identity is constructed and broadcasted.This article is divided into six main parts. On the bases of defining the concept of mind identity, it will be probed in three aspects as the fundamental source, continuing source and transforming source of competitive advantage, and then, the focus of the three aspects will be addressed. Part I briefly introduced the background of research on mind identity. The necessity of mind identity research from the prospect of competitive advantage is put out though the comparison of business effects and review of CI theories and corporate culture researches. PartⅡdraw light on concept discriminate related with mind identity. The concept of mind identity is defined at first. The comparison of mind identity and related concepts is put forward to shape the base of follow analysis. In the third part, mind identity is analyzed as the fundamental source of competitive advantage. By review of strategic management theory about organization model and resource base model, two variables is put out and each variable internal and external role is discussed to eliminate to fundamental source of competitive advantage. In part IV, mind identity is researched from the aspect of sustainability source of competitive advantage. This part is based on the mind identity and three aspects of mind identity are discussed, such as operators, organizational systems and enterprise adaptive. In part V, mind identity will be argued as the changing source of competitive advantage. The dynamics of changing is discussed at first. On the base of clearance of relationship between strategic management and competitive advantage, the changing nature of competitive advantage and strategic management is argued. PartⅥis the conclusion of this article.
