The Relationship Between Industrial Clusters And Regional Economic Growth

Economic globalization and regional economic integration is the development trend,in this tendency,the industrial cluster plays a more and more important role in the process of regional economic development,it not only strengthen the competitiveness of the industry area,but also affect regional economic growth.Current research concerning foreign industrial cluster has been mature,in china the research of industrial cluster are gradually perfect now,most of the studies of industrial cluster focus on the definition,conditions and mechanism research of industrial cluster,and most scholars research the relationship between the industrial clusters and regional economic growth through establishing some mathematical models to explain stimulative effect of industrial cluster to economic growth.The evaluation of industrial cluster effect and the empirical studies of the relationship between economic growth and industrial cluster effect are less.In view of this,this paper firstly establishes the research framework of industrial cluster, and proposes economic growth factors:the tangible assets:labor,capital and intangible assets: regional brand based on industrial cluster.And from the five aspects of the economies of scale,technology spillovers,reducing transaction cost,improving human capital and regional brand analyses the influence mechanism of industry cluster effect to regional economic. Secondly this paper deduces Solow-Swan extended economic growth model based on industrial clusters on the basis of the new classical economic growth theory.Through this model it is proved that per output and per capital will increase along with the increase of industrial cluster effect.Again,this paper establishes the evaluation index system which includes external scale effect,transaction costs effect,technological overflow effect,human capital and regional brand effect to quantify industrial cluster effect based on the influencial mechanism of industrial cluster effect to regional economic.Meanwhile,based on the evaluation index system,using principal component analysis(pca) calculates the effect of dalian industrial clusters,results shows that the dalian manufacturing industry cluster effect fluctuates in 1997～2007,but overall it appears a steady growth situation.Finally,this paper does metrological analysis between regional economic growth and industrial cluster effect,we find economic development better places usually form industrial cluster earlier and industrial cluster in dalian promotes the economic growth through analysis.
