With the rapid development of economy, our higher education tends to be more industrialized and the competition becomes fierce day by day. In the competition for higher education market,"product"is the foundation , while"quality"is the key to win. Our tourism higher education started late, so it gradually displayed the characteristic of lag to compare with our fast developed tourism. Currently, there is great shortage of trained personnel, meanwhile, the sustainable and healthy development of tourism needs great deal of high qualified talents. So the improvement of the quality of higher education will not only promote the education itself, but will have great influence on the development of tourism."Product" of higher education is "educational service", that is to say, universities tempt to serve their students to make them perfect in knowledge, skills, qualities and accomplishments. Students are the main customers of school, so all the schools have come to common understanding on how to guarantee their students' profits and to provide good services. The author studied the problem of the quality of education from the perspective of the students, and made use of the Gap Model of Service Quality and the character of higher education to find out the whole situation of tourism higher education and the way to reduce the quality gap of educational services.
