Liberalism intellectual in modern China was the most active during the War of Liberation. During this period, Liberalism intellectual not only actived on political and put forward their opinions, but also positively raised views and propositions on important issues such as the economic problems at that time in China, the Kuomintang's economic policies and China's development road. This magazine choose The Observation which was Liberalism intellectual's important publication, as the research perspective, researched on the economic ideas of liberal intellectuals in China. The article is divided into three parts. The first part summarizes the publication from the purpose, writer, columns and other aspects. The second part focuses on the analysis of variety of economic ideas of The Observation, including specific the understandings and views of the issues such as inflation, foreign goods dumping, and expropriation of special class's outside assets and land reform, and the exploration to the choice of China's development road. The final part is the evaluation of the economic proposals of The Observation.
