Study On Location Problem Of Garment Enterprise's Regional Distribution Center

Due to the fierce competition of the garment industry in our country,the market share of single garment enterprise is not high.In order to win in the competition, garment enterprise expands its sales network,introduce new products and flexible promotion strategies.Because of these measures,it is quite difficult for the garment enterprise to organize distribution logistics.The states of out-of-stock and overstock take place sometimes.This situation decreases the enterprise competitiveness and negatively impacts the development of the enterprise.Under the guarantee of regional distribution center,the clothing products can be distributed form plants to demand points rapidly and effectively.Meanwhile,the clothing products can be allocated among regions conveniently and rapidly.So the enterprise reduces the out-of-stock and overstock situation.But the garment enterprise in our country usually divide region by geographical position and select the location by sales and transportation situation,the location selected by this method can't meet the distribution need.The thesis discussed the location problem of the garment enterprise's regional distribution center under the situation of more decentralized demand and higher service level.The regional distribution center has great practical significance for promoting Logistics Rationalization and enhancing logistics service level.And then it helps decreasing the costs and enhancing market share.The main study in the thesis composed of three aspects.1.Combined with the theory of distribution channel,distribution logistics and reverse logistics,analyzed the characteristics of distribution channel,distribution logistics and reverse logistics of garment enterprise.And on the basis of above,the location factor and principle of garment enterprise's regional distribution center was discussed.2.Formulated a set covering location model which is suite to the garment enterprise regional distribution center location problem.Designed a heuristic algorithm and programmed by Matlab to solve the problem.3.Analyzed the flexibility and the optimality of the heuristic algorithm with a case, and then analyzed the relative factor which impacts the solution of the model.
