In this paper, the 220kV Cuo-buling substation of Qingdao is taken as analised object, to which the method of life cycle cost (LCC) was introduced. From the earlier searching data, the work over life cycle cost on major equipement, to the analyzing of LCC result are all coverd in this paper. 220kV transformer and 35kV switchgear were taken as representative equipment for choosing equipment type. Both of the choices were anylised deeply using the theory of LCC. Firstly, the LCC analising models of each major equipment were constructed in the way of LCC, then the model of each equipment were analised to form data documents. Lastly, the optimal choice was given by estimating the result of LCC. This paper provides large numbers of useful data, contributing to the further application of LCC in the management and maintainance of substation.
