Hotel industry is one of the three pillars of the tourism industry, and also one of the essential components of tourism reception cpacity.It has an important status and role in the tourism industry. Along with the rise of urban tourism, the development of hotel industry has become an important standard to measure the level of city tourism and city develop- ment. Spatial structure of hotels is closely related to the development prospects of hotel industry.So the spatial structure of tourist hotels is slowly becoming important.This paper is aimed at identifing the problems of star-hotels spatial structure and then optimize it through analysing.Refering to the research about hotels'composition,tourism spatial strcture and urban spatial strcture,this article defined hotels spatial strcture as :"Hotels sp- atial strcture is the projection on geoggraphic space of the hotel and the relationship between hotel and location factors."And this article regards location'condition as the key elements to research the spatial structure of star-hotels in Qingdao.This article analyse the law of historical evolution,distributio- n,capacity and market of star-hotels in Qingdao throughing field survey and related data.The analysis shows that the star-hotels of Qingdao get together towarding commercial areas, transport links ,characteristical street,coastal areas and tourist attractions. Its geographical and level distribution is imbalanced. The composite structure of star-hotels is not perfect.The research about capacity and market shows that star-hotels of Qingdao have strong capacity overall, but have diversity between diffe- rent disticts and Levels;its main market is domestic market overall,but segments are different.This article selects the evaluation factors which majority of experts agree with by make location'condition as a key factor and determines the weight of every evaluation factors by Delphi method and AHP. According to the weight of evaluation factors, we can see that the weight of tour- ism,traffic and business which belongs to the first grade is relatively high.And in the second grade,the weight of the grade of tourist attra- ctions,the grade of business quarter and the distance between star-hotels and transport nodes is relatively high. Then the autor builds evaluation system of star-hotels'location by establishing the evaluation levels of every factors. Based on this indicator system, this article analyses the location condition of star-hotels in Qingdao with qualitative methods. The anlysis shows that the grade of evaluation factors which connects with location condition of star-hotels in Qingdao varies wildly,the location condition of star-hotels in Qingdao have some common characterristics,the location condition is mainly led by certain factors and the space of improving location condition is plenty,some superior location condition isn't used fully.Based on above analysis, we found that the star-hotels spatial structure have many problems including the geographical distribution is not balanced;level decreasing along the center district;the primary location's structure is irrational, the secondary location isn't used fully and so on. In response to these issues,this article lay claim to take the following measures to improve star-hotels spatial structure in Qingdao.Bettering the transport network to enhance the link between locations to make locations learn from others's strong points to offset one's weakness.Strengthening the building of island hotels. Improving the star-hotels spatial structure in primary location and promote star-hotels to develop in poor location through the cooperation between reserves. Building Hotel CBD to improve the spatial structure of star-hotels. Quickening the economic and social development of five counties in Qin- gdao.Adjusting the premium structure to guide investors to select loc- ation.Improving the spatial structure of star-hotels through reasonable tourism planning.
