The Research Of Port's Competitiveness Evaluation Based On Evidential Reasoning Approach

With the development of international economy and the continuous strengthening of global communication,the competition among the ports aggravates increasingly. With the expansion of the port function,the range of the port competitiveness changes rapidly.Under this circumstance,the research on the port competitiveness is especially important.The competitiveness of port is the comparative advantages in relation to other ports that port can provide natural,economic system and environment with its port resources, to attract all kinds of factors of production and the scarce resources which are conducive to port development and optimize the allocation of resources in the aspect of occupying market,creating value and maintaining sustainable development.The final performance of the port is that it can use kinds of resources more efficiently than other ports,so it can attract more shipping companies,cargo owners and radiate greater market space.And the evaluation of port competitiveness is a system of management,supervision and improving of port competitiveness.With the current increasingly fierce competition of port,establishing a set of evaluation index system of port competitiveness which is suitable for port's characteristics and using scientific and mathematical method to evaluate port competitiveness has a very important significance.A system analysis and a quantitative comprehensive evaluation of port competitiveness can help decision-makers understand the development status of port properly,make the port's own competitive position and weak links of the competitiveness clear,in order to take effective measures to foster and enhance port competitiveness,so as to the port can get the best economic and social benefits.This is not only of a very practical guiding significance for the future development of the port,but also provides an orientation for the establishment of future development strategy of the port.At first,this article systematical reviews the literature for competitiveness of port and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the methods that evaluate the competitiveness of port.Then based on the understanding of the conception of competitiveness and enterprise competitiveness describe the conception of port competitiveness.After that,based on the index system designation theory and the analysis of the factors of port competitiveness,build the index system of port competitiveness evaluation,and define any indexes.On this basis,use AHP to make the weight of every index,the build the mode of port competitiveness evaluation based on ER.Subsequently,make the mode used on the evaluation of Dalian port,Yingkou port, Tianjin port,Shanghai port,Shenzhen port and Xiamen port's competitiveness,to make sure the application value of the model.Then,according to the score of every ports, analyze the evaluation result.Finally,through theorical and explorative analysis on the evaluation of port competitiveness,the basic conclusions and the works that are done are summarized.
