With the level of highway constantly improving and a large number of high-grade highways constructing, to strengthen the Project Supervision Cost control and to compute construction costs of the Central Laboratory reasonably have become the urgent problems. Central Laboratory is very important technical support agency at the construction process of highway projects. The data obtained by experimental detecting is a direct reflection of the actual quality of the project entity, is the most important basis for evaluating the overall quality of the project. In this paper, studies on construction specifications, quantity of equipment, personnel and operating costs of Central Laboratory were accomplished through information inquiries, on-site research and statistical analysis.This paper relies on the technology project of Communications Department of Guizhou Province, " Central Laboratory's Configuration Standards and Cost Measurement of High-grade Highway Construction Projects", in accordance with the commonality of highway projects and the characteristics of high-grade highway construction in Guizhou Province. Through on-site research of the Center Laboratory of under construction projects in Guizhou district, specific parameters related to engineering scale, engineering content, testing frequency, work intensity, work efficiency and the quality of work were obtained, which provides relevant reference to determine the scales and specifications of laboratorial construction facilities, types and quantities of experimental equipments, quality and quantity of personnel, operation mode and operating costs. Through searching the information of under construction projects in Guizhou Province, using MATLAB to carry out statistical analysis of their engineering quantity, based on the sample characteristics, using theχ2 distribution fitting testing committing normal and Weibull distribution fitting testing for each group of samples, the distribution type of testing number of concrete and steel of bridge in Guizhou district was proposed, and to determine the Central Laboratory's instruments and equipment-related configuration. The rest which is not easy to calculate the number of experimental instrument through engineering quantity is determined through on-site research to obtain the parameters of instruments.This study can provide a reference on the construction of Central Laboratory of highway projects for Guizhou Province, and has a certain reference value on the cost calculation in this part of highway construction projects.
