With the transition of global tourism development, Independent Traveling has become a thriving travelling style. Under the background of great acievements of tourism industry and economic development,Independent Traveling has also been prospreing in China. Therefore,researching travelling motivations and behaviourial characteristics of self-service tourists are of significance to theoretical reseach and practical guidance to Independent TravelingThis thesis consists of 5 chapters,as the main contents are listed belowIn the first chapter, research background and reseaching purposes and significance are briefly elaborated. And then literature concerning Independent Traveling research,travelling behaviour and travelling motivations of self-service tourists are detailedly reviewed.In the second chapter , some concepts concerned are clearly defined. Fundamental principles and researching methodology are elaborated, in which some well-developed theories and methods are introduced from other disciplines to pave a solid way for this researeh.In the third chapter,a systematic analysis of travelling motivation and behaviour of self-service tourists is made to design the research model for this thesis, on which research contents and hypotheses are defined. In the fourth chapter, an empirical research is conducted and self-service tourists to Human provice are taken as examples to uncover travelling motivations, general and differential behaviourial characteristics of self-service tourists.The fifth chapter is to summarize the thesis, in which main conclusions are delivered and some propositions are put forward. In addition, there reseach results, innovations and practical values are generalized while some limitations and worthy research field in the future are mentioned.
