Research On Rural Settlements Remediation Of Qiaoyi Town, Wangcheng County

Rural settlement is one of the main contents of Rural Settlement Geography.Since the"Sannong"issue has gotten serious,particularly,after the central government promoted the"new socialist countryside construction",the"Sannong"issue has become a hot spot in many subjects.The rural settlements of Qiaoyi,Town Wangcheng,County Hunan province is taken as the object in this paper,and it is on the basis of field research data from 2006-2008,the village plans as well as the Qiaoyi Town general plan and so forth.The problems and the relevant solutions are studied on the rural settlements in Qiaoyi Town by qualitative and quantitative methods.The author would like to make valuable recommendations about countryside construction of Wangcheng County,at the same time, to enrich the study case and accumulate information of rural settlements in Hunan Province.Because of complex terrain,there are different patterns and the developing level about rural settlements in Qiaoyi Town, Wangcheng County.The rural settlements spatial patterns, structures have been analyzed,and then divided into three types:mountain-hill,plain and low-hilly.Mountain-hills type mainly distributed in the eastern hilly areas,which scatter by small scale;plains-type mainly distributes in the Midwest,especially in the region of Sha-River flows through, it gathers more buildings in large scale,with relatively perfect infrastructure;low-hilly type is mostly concentrated in the western hills,which along the roads,rivers,mountains and such liners,with the middle scale.The problems on rural settlements of Qiaoyi Town have been summed up and analyzed,for example,missing the higher scale, low the intensive level of land-use,in shortage of infrastructure,and needing to improve the living environment, and so on.The indicators system about choosing centre village has been explored,preliminarily,by building indicators at different levels,and which get the satisfactory results. Finally,some suggestions have been put forward about rural settlements remediation and construction in several perspectives and levels.In author's opinion,the Scientific Concept of Development should be carried out during the remediation;and which support by policy,system,funds,the layout be adjusted in the guide of industrydevelopment;the land be consolidated under the plan;and thecentre village and centre settlement should be built in a quick step.Be cause of the limitation of the author's level,there are,undoubtedly,many shortages,which need to deepen in further research.
