Study On The Countermeasures For The Development Of Farmer Specialty Co-operative Organization In Beijing

In order to meet the new situation in the market economy and solve the problems in the household management system on the management level, such as small scale, high transaction costs, and weak competitiveness, it is essential to develop the farmer specialty cooperative organizations and improve the degree of farmers'systematization, which is an important carrier of new socialist countryside, the fundamental way of increasing the farmers'income, and the important tasks of work relating to agriculture, rural areas and farmers. Therefore, to analyze the countermeasures for developing the farmer specialty cooperative organizations based on realities of modern urban agriculture in Beijing has theoretical and practical significance in the context of constructing new socialist countryside and building a harmonious society.Based on the basic theories relevant to the cooperative economics and institutional economics, the paper systematically analyzes the status quo, problems and countermeasures of the farmer specialty cooperative organizations in Beijing by means of several synthetic methods, such as combining the literature research with status research, combining the typical study with general study, and combining quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis. The main conclusions gained are as follow:(1) The paper systemically evaluates the status quo and characteristics of the farmer specialty cooperative organizations in Beijing, and generalizes the achievements, patterns and feature of developing the cooperatives.(2) At present, the main problems are small scale, weak motivation, non-standard internal operation, weak interests binding mechanism, poor members'qualities, and poor abilities to make further progress.(3) By using the foreign and domestic experiences for reference, the paper puts forward the goals and principles for developing the farmer specialty cooperative organizations in Beijing, and gives some policy suggestions so as to develop the farmer specialty cooperative organizations and promote the social and economic development.
