The Research On Development Of Enterprise Technology Alliances: Based On Symbiosis Theory

Enterprise Technology Alliance is a loose organizational form, which is set up by individual enterprises who are seeking external resources to carry out cooperative R&D. Through the Alliance, enterprises can share and complement each other's technologies, reduce the R&D risks and costs, improve benefits and so on. Enterprise Technology Alliance, as an effective way of enhancing technological innovation capacity in knowledge-based economy times, is being applied widely, and its efficiency is more evident. However, some problems are still presenting in the actual operation and management of technology alliance, such as low efficiency and instability, these cause the alliances have broken up and failed in result, which become the academics and business managements' difficulties to solve. This thesis is in light of Symbiosis theory in biology which focus on harmonious and sustainable development, emphasize "Win-win", brings forward the idea using the Symbiosis theory to study Enterprise Technology Alliance, analysed the actual operation problems of Enterprise Technology Alliance, explored the league's model and mechanisms and try to find a reasonable model to develop technology alliance, this can provide valuable reference and a basis to healthy development of Enterprise Technology Alliance, so this thesis has a certain practical significance.This thesis is on the basis of the previous research of Symbiosis theory and Enterprise Technology Alliance. Starting with the symbiosis of the general theory from biology, conducted by a main framework of three symbiotic elements-symbiotic unit, symbiotic model, symbiotic environment to research on the development model of Enterprise Technology Alliance. The main content includes researches on member selection principles, operation model of the Enterprise Technology Alliance, and the strategy of Government to promote Technology Alliances' development. And then to introduce TD-SCDMA Technology Alliance case study. At last, pointed of view from the symbiosis, it makes recommendations and Countermeasures to develop Enterprise Technology Alliance of our country. Two of mathematical methods applied is Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) and the stability analysis of biological Logistic model's differential equations. The eventual conclusions: choicing Technology Alliance members to focus on quality parameters, not only valuing R&D strength of enterprises, they also have to focus on the compatibility of Culture; trying to use the mutualism symmetry model as the technology alliances' main modes of operation, co-evolutionary developing, these can result in the most efficient form of symbiosis; government play a key role to improve the Enterprise Technology Alliances' market and system environment, so government should make efforts to set up a wide range of information exchange system; continuously improve the legal system, financial system, the social environment of cooperative R&D; to strengthen the macro-level policy guidance and coordination to promote Enterprise Technology Alliances' development.
