| With the great success of application of six sigma management in Motorola and GE, six sigma has been recognized as one of the successful method to improve the competence of enterprise by the world management group at present. Six sigma is not only regarded as statistical concept or process improvement tool employed by manufacturing enterprise to improve the manufacturing process, reduce the defective rate. Six sigma has been evolved as management strategy to enhance the competitive advantage and method of organization change. Domestic manufacturing enterprises begin to understand Six Sigma in the late of 1990s, facing the worldwide competition, many manufacturing enterprises begin to implement Six Sigma to improve quality so as to enhance the competitive advantage. Considering the problems of application of Six Sigma occurred in manufacturing enterprises, and based on the DMAIC process. This paper constructs an improved six sigma process PMACV and put the emphases on the character of the improved process. In EMS Tech. Co., Ltd., the improved process was applied to the case of product quality improvement, and some successful results were achieved. According to the experience of the application of Six Sigma Improved process, this paper thinks six sigma management is culture change, manufacturing enterprises should consider own practice, establish strategic personnel resource training plan, and senior managers must be protagonist when applying six sigma process. |
