With the rapid development of social economy, the market have already changed to product quality and brand competition from product quantity and price. In the past, many manufacturing EMS only pay attention to customer order quantity, but ignored product quality control, so that quality management tends to relax and drop.J Company is a manufacturer to produce cell phone camera module products, This product is the company's core product, occupy more than half of the orders. The whole product assembly process mainly includes parts production, welding, patch test procedure and so on. In the testing station, the test fail units accounted for about 6%, it cause a large number of products scrap, rework and retest. Therefore improve the process quality is very necessary and urgent. In this case, J company realized must improve quality management. It put the quality management as the goal of the enterprise, research and promote the quality of advanced management ideas and methods.In this paper, using the Six Sigma DMAIC methods to J company testing station to study how to solve the defect problem.. First, It analyzes the process of camera module product, and expounds the current process quality control methods and existing problems,and puts forward into the motive of six sigma. Secondly, it introduced the application of six sigma DMAIC, the implementation steps and process, and then measures the product and process characteristics to do data analysis, finding out the reasons of problems. After improving and adopting corresponding actions, we control and supervision the process to avoid problems occurred again. Finally, defining the process control flow, clearing improvement goals, then use related measurement system such as GR&R to evaluate the process ability.After implementing the six sigma DMAIC method, J company product quality get obvious improvement, quality cost reduced, the production system and quality control system get improvement, this make the company more strength in the market competition.
