Comparative Study On The Relationship Between Human Capital And Economic Growth Of Jinan And Qingdao

Cross-countries successful experience shows that investment in human capital has the pivotal function in the process of the economic growth. Theory of western new-economic growth suggests that human capital is the most factor in economic growth. In developed countries, there are links between economic growth and investment in human capital. But from the research of Jinan city and Qingdao city, we find that the link with human capital and economic growth is not obvious, even negative correlation sometimes.The paper has utilized the quantitative and contrast analysis, the linearity returns and other economics methods. It calculates the human capital storage and physical capital storage of Jinan and Qingdao between the period of 1985-2007, and then uses the human capital exterior model and the human capital growth rate model to do the contribution rates analysis of the human capital storage and the physical capital storage in the economic growth of Jinan and Qingdao , and study on the education investment's growth rate combination in per-person GDP growth rate.The main body of this paper covers four parts: The first chapter gives the comments on the theoretical research about the relationship between human capital and economic growth. It is summarized that the human capital of economic growth's models. The second chapter analyzes the economic condition in Jinan and Qingdao , and gives contract analysis of the condition in human capital. The following chapter deals with empirical research on effect on human capital on growth of Jinan and Qingdao by the data of stock of human capital . In this chapter , we get the result of the combination of the stock of human capital and physical capital to economic growth with human capital exterior model. The last chapter gives our conclusion and suggestions,. In this section, we conclude the demonstration research. And we give some suggestions on the utilization on human capital of Jinan and Qingdao.According to the above analysis: there are not obvious links between the human capital storage and the investment in human capital.; the human capital contribution rates of economic growth in Qingdao is greater than the rates in Jinan, moreover Jinan and Qingdao per capital economic growth were not focused on human capital, Qingdao is little better than Jinan.Lastly, according to the research on theory and demonstration , this paper provides some suggestions to promote the economic growth in Jinan and Qingdao.
