Study On The Coordinated Development Of Pan-pearl River Delta Region's Infrastructure

With the development of economic globalization,integration and coordinated development of regional economy has become a new trend of China's economic development.The introduction of the concept of"Pan-pearl River Delta Region (PPRD Region)"adapts to the new situation of domestic and foreign economic development.To the integration and coordinated development of PPRD Region's economy,infrastructure is the basis which has basic,external and orient effects to regional economy and social environment.Coordinated development of large-scale infrastructure construction has been a common view of the central and parties of PPRD region.This thesis firstly discusses the relations between infrastructure and economic development with the theory results of public economics.On this basis,the inherent mechanism of infrastructure's coordinated development is analyzed and summarized. Secondly,present situation of PPRD region's infrastructure is analyzed and problems are revealed from infrastructure's level of development and investment.Then,the necessity and feasibility of coordinated development of PPRD Region's infrastructure are deeply analyzed.Finally,some policy advices are made:high-point positioning on strategy,especial tendency on policy,rational arrangement on planning and cooperation and complementariness on construction.The viewpoints of this thesis include:first,put forward the inherent mechanism of infrastructure coordinated development:with the precondition which is considering both efficiency and equity,infrastructure's coordinated development is co-development of every industry and every region,is efficient division of labor and coordination of work among regions and is a kind of"Pareto Improvement".Second, the necessity and feasibility of PPRD Region's coordinated development of infrastructure are deeply analyzed.The necessity is analyzed from four aspects: strengthening the country and enriching,economic globalization,the west development and regional integration.The feasibility is analyzed from six aspects:the rise of regional economic strength,the implementation of the west development strategy,the opening up and cooperation of international situation,Pearl River Delta Region's economy taking the lead in development,advantages complementary of resources in PPRD region and initially formation of regional inter-governmental cooperation mechanisms.
