Study On The International Investment And Development Strategy Of Predominant Industries In Dalian

With the establishment of Chinese market economy, the economy has continuously and quickly developed. Especially China joins to the WTO, the internationalization progress of the Chinese economy continuously speeds up and its degree also continuously strengthens. In such circumstances, our city should not only absorb the foreign capital but encourage the predominant industry of our city to invest in other countries. In a long sight, it has great significance and far-reaching strategy significance. The article elaborates the theory related to the foreign direct investment of the developed country and the strategy management. Under comparison of companies in Ningbo and Qingdao and Dalian, the progress and current situation of the foreign direct investment, the article sums up characteristics of Dalian foreign direct investment. Then the article analyzes the strength, the weakness, the opportunity and threat of direct investment to the foreign countries for Dalian's enterprises with SWOT model. Based on comparison analysis, the paper concludes the predominant industry in Dalian has the advantage in resources, market, race product and technique. The disadvantage contains the lack of competition in investment, the unreasonable structure in investment, the weakness of management, the obstacle in the investment system and the lack of creative ability. The basic above-mentioned advantage and disadvantage as well as the opportunity and the threat generalize the strategic project on the foreign direct investment in any situation. Considering three factors: the investing areas, the investing industries and the entrance to market, the article analyzes the strategy of Dalian's predominant industry of FDI. As to qualitative analysis, the paper suggests that we should enlarge the direct investment of developing country or region and accelerate the direct investment of the developed country and aggressive develop to invest in Russia and Eastern Europe nations and majorly choose to invest Africa countries. We should make the enlargement to develop the high-tech industry and take a corresponding strategy for the different environment according to the enterprises getting into the market. Finally, from the view of macroscopic as well as macroscopic, the paper proposes measures and suggestions for improving the predominant industry of FDI. The government should strengthen management and establish the perfect law from the macroscopic aspect. The enterprise should grow its competitive advantage and raise the core competencies.
