With the development of Internet technology and business management, ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) has been widely and intensively used in factories and companies. Purchasing Management System, as an important part of ERP, can help to improve the scientificalness, farsightedness and accuracy of purchase activities. It also helps to guarantee the timeliness, sensibility and economy of purchase behaviors. All these can enhance the management ability and competitiveness of companies and factories. Glass Deep-processing is an emerging manufacturing industry. Its production process is a successive one and also an intermittent one, which is very complex and the products are rich in types and large in amount, resulting in more difficulty in purchasing link. So it's of great importance to make a research of the ERP applied to the purchasing link of this industry.Based on Information Update Project of XSJ Co. Ltd, this paper describes the modern development and the future of the ERP at home and abroad. It makes some conclusions about the characteristic and demand situation of this glass deep-processing industry. The author learned the theory of purchasing management and compares the classical purchasing theory in the ERP pattern. This paper contains an introduction of UML (Unified Modeling Language) and the author's analysis about the MRP decomposing algorithm, cut algorithm used in the glass deep-processing industry. It designs an ERP purchasing management system, including its structure, process and template for the XSJ Co. Ltd. The author builds the static and dynamic view of the system and gives details about the whole modeling procedure. It explains the main principle and feature of the three-leveled patterns in the C/S(Client/Server) mode. It fixes the framework and the form model for the design of the system. By using DELPHI7.0 and Microsoft SQL server 2000 as tools, the author has designed the purchasing management system and also activates some functions of the system.
