The background and significance of the project illustrated in this paper is that Chinese iron and steel enterprises have intensified the efforts to invest in projects of deep processing on steel,which is an important way could not be neglected to enhance the economic benefit of the steel enterprises.It is an important part of adjusting the long-term development strategy in steel industry to develop the industry of steel deep processing.It is also one of the important job objectives for Shougang Group in the process of relocation and strategic transformation.How to complete the project of Qianbao steel deep processing is the main issue of researching on the project management topic:the plan and schedule control in the steel deep processing projects,and is also an important practical experience for Shougang Group and Shougang Co.to educate high-end project management talents in the construction area recent years.In this paper,we study the project planning and progress control of Qianbao steel deep processing construction project.We apply the theories of project planning and progress control onto this practical project and study how this complex project can be done scientifically,as specified and on time.We also stated the background,objective and significance of our study,including the details as site selection,basic layout and overall description.We also considered the reality of the implementation,decomposed the project implementation into phases and made work-breakdown structure charts.Based on that,we also cleared out the responsibility assignment and built up the logical relationship,drew the network planning,and put together the schedule plan.In this paper,we employed logical relationship adjustment method,resource invest switching method and time targeting chose to formulate project optimization plans.Before we carry out our progress control,we authorized process control procedures for this construction project,analyzed the possible difficulties that might affect the progress,made counter plans for them and monitored them regularly.We also analyzed the differences of project implementation and our planning,corrects the diff timely,made plan adjustments and made sure the project move on as we planned.In this paper,we study and discuss into deep details of a concrete project,about its progress planning and management control.We scientifically made plans of the project schedule,analyzed the key factors that could affect the project progress and made our counter-plans against possible issues.Combining the above arrangements,we setup a scientific system for project progress planning and implementation control,providing reference and best practices for enterprises to apply project progress planning and control theories.
