With the economic development and technological progress, pace of globalization become more and more quickly. China has also been inevitably involved in the wave of economic integration and become an important component of the global economy structure. With the globalization of production and trade deepening, the world's value creation system emerges an unprecedented global vertical separation and re-structure. The global value chain (GVC) theory has been proposed and developed in this context. After the GVC theory developed for more than ten years, the contents of the theory become richer and richer. Scholars combined this theory with clusters and regional economic development, this combination has important guiding significance for a country and regional economy. However, in the current study, little about micro-study on the impact of enterprises when they embedded into global value chain. After all, enterprises are the main body of economic activities, so it is more meaningful for the enterprise to explore the real value for them to embed into global value chains. Based on such considerations, my study will target at the micro-level research of the global value chains theory. In the research of GVC theory, scholars have focused on the research of the relationship between GVC governance and industrial upgrading. The industrial enterprises upgrading was set up on the foundation of constantly technological innovation. The perspective of this study was therefore on how it impacted the technological innovation on performance of enterprises for they embed into global value chain. After reviewed the GVC theory and the theory of technological innovation, Taking into account the previous research ideas about how the social capital of enterprises impacting on the technological innovation performance, under my own discovery, I proposed the concept of GVC governance intensity, and built a theoretical model, posed four research assumptions. On this basis, using the sample of textile and garment enterprises in Shandong Province, the assumptions was proved to be correct with the application of several statistical methods, including Factor Analysis, Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis. In this Research, Resource Acquisition was introduced to be a meso-variable, when we were building the theoretical model and taking empirical study. Finally we get the conclusion about the correlation relationship between the GVC governance intensity and the technological innovation performance of the firms, by analyzing the relationship between GVC governance intensity and the Resource Acquisition, Resource Acquisition and the technological innovation performance. And we discovered that the correlation between the GVC governance intensity and the technological innovation performance shows a trend of cross-S. That is, as the global value chain governance intensity continuous heightening, the performance of enterprises in technological innovation will be reduced at first and then improved and reduced once again. It shows that it does have some positive impact on the technological innovation performance for the enterprises to embed into the global value chain. But on the other hand, it inspired the enterprises taking afford to upgrad in the global value chain, if they want to continuous improving their own competitiveness, striving to overcome the adverse effects of the global value chain intensity, etc. In addition, this study is a positive attempt for expanding the scope of GVC theory studying, which I hope it can play a role of forward, and do some contribution to the development of the GVC theory.
