Although the market competition of heavy duty truck is becoming more and more intense, most truck companies still satisfy the customer's needs only by raising the truck quality and after-sale service. Aiming at extending market share of heavy duty truck, basing on the theory of marketing and competitive strategies, this thesis designs an information platform of Highway Logistics to supply more convenient services for logistics companies and creates a new after-sale service mode for SINOTRUK, by analyzing the customers' real requirement and investigating the situation of heavy duty truck industry.This thesis finds the real needs of the Highway Logistics customers' is to making more profits, keeping safe of the truck and goods, finding more convenient ways of management and improving the level of living when they are driving by deeply analyzing the Highway Logistics Industry. So if the company wants to improve the market share, make a differentiation strategy and improve competitive advantage, it must supply an information-based service foundation which can promote the customer's profitability and living quality.This thesis will design a vehicle multimedia machine fix on the truck which mixed use information technology, GPS, GIS, multimedia technology and wireless communication technology. This thesis will also develop a Management Information System to supply variety services to the practitioners of Highway Logistics who use SINOTRUK's products, in order to provide more logistics information, after-sale service and entertainment.The other innovation of this thesis is to use the theory of market, logistic management, EC, business mode etc, extending the concept of after-sale service and change the relationship between the customer and the truck manufacturer from buyer-seller relationship to cooperation relationship. This new business model will supply a series of value added services to help the logistic companies who use the products of SINOTRUK to reduce of cost, increase of efficiency and administration, in order to raise the competitive strength, and to form a unique competitive advantage which hard to imitate for SINOTRUK.This thesis will takes of the combination of literature review, statistical analysis methods, surveys and interviews, to analyses the need of heavy duty truck customer, to builds a new service mode, and finally brings forward a material countermeasure.
