| By the end of 2006, express industry in china has opened up fully to foreign investment, foreign-funded enterprises can operate domestic and international express business in China, thus, a relatively stable market has been formed, in which state-owned, private, and foreign enterprises are in both competition and stable development. A survey shows Chinese market has developed faster than others. The current market scale reaches 200 billion Yuan, the annual growth rate is more than 30%, and this is a solid market foundation for sustainable development of our express industry. the number of enterprises which are engaging in express services has reached 2422, and 227,000 people are involved in this industry; the total income of this industry reaches 380 billion Yuan in 2007, and a growth rate is more than 25%, which is higher than the average level of the tertiary industry. Four International giant express corporations, which includes American express giant UPS Inc. (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx), TNT (TNT), Deutsche Post (DHL) (Note: The following will shorted as UPS, FedEx, TNT, DHL) have located in China, and have been basically completed occupying the market, and have built their own transit center. Its strong finance supplies the foundation for better development. Giant foreign investment has challenged the domestic express market and brought enormous stress. Post (EMS), as a leading role in china, began to compete with them fiercely. While in the competition with foreign investment and EMS, private express companies has been challenged severely. SF express company which involves a good performance will face many problems. The main one is how to develop and how to find its location and long life in this situation in thecontext of globalization.After a brief introduction of China's express industry conditions and an overview of SF express company. In this paper, the author makes use of PEST and Porter's five forces model to analyze SF express company's external enviroment. Then the author also analyzes internal enviroment of SF express company, resources and capabilities. Followed by, the writer gives a comprehensive analysis of external and internal enviroment on the SF express company in order to provide the opportunities and challenges, as well as strengths and weaknesses that the SF express company is facing.
