The Comparative Analysis On The Competitiveness Of China's Trade In Services.

China' s trade in services has grown rapidly since the 1990th. But through the calculation of the index, we have drawn the conclusion that the trade in services of our country has been in a comparatively disadvantageous position. Meanwhile, General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and its following negotiations brought about new opportunities as well as great challenges for international trade in services in the new century. This paper uses RCA,CA index and International market percentage to evaluate the international competitiveness of China' s trade in services, especially the comparation between different countries to find out the comparative industries, and puts forward some suggestions on promoting the competitiveness of China' s trade in services.This paper comprises five sections. Section 1 is Introduction. It summarries the new progress on research of competitiveness of trade in services. Section 2 sets up a series of index concerning the international competitiveness of China' s trade in services. Section 3 analyses the international competitiveness of China' s trade in services by using some indexes in order to prove that the competitiveness of China' s trade in services is low. Section 4 compares the international competitiveness of China' s trade in services with the other countries to find out the comparative industries, such travel,construction,computer and information services. Section 5 gives some suggestions to improve the competitiveness of China' s trade in services from Microscopic and Macroscopic levels .
