Research On Imbalance Of Trade Interest Between China And USA

International trade is the most important method of world economic communication, which plays a significant role in promoting a country's economic development. However, distribution of international trade interest is not so equitable. Economists exert many tools to analyze the distribution and estimate distortion. By using export, import and factor prices, terms of trade is the most frequent tool to calculate the distribution. This dissertation wants to introduce a new point of view to judge distribution of international trade interest, and supports this idea through empirical analysis based on statistic data of international trade between China and United State of American and their GDP. After that, this paper will delve academic reasons upon these conclusions.There are five sections in this paper. In the first section it will elaborate academic and realistic meaning of the selection of this title, and summarize my research method. The second section contains some basic information of the situation on international trade between China and USA, including their general status on GDP. From these factors, we could get a conclusion that the economic gap between China and USA is expanding, rather than diminishing. This conclusion contravenes classical theory, which asserts that both side of international trade will obtain interests. In the third section, it will set up a model to test the relationship of cointegration between Chinese export and the economic gap between China and USA. Besides, a specific test will be done to analyze cointegration between Chinese export of each kind of goods, which is based on the classification of SITC, and the economic gap. This work is helpful to ascertain the real source of the inequality of distribution of international trade interest.From the aspect of relationship between China and USA, reasons of the imbalance distribution are exchange of unequal values. First, labor productivity of these two countries is different, which makes the distribution of interest becomes imbalanced on the side of China, whose development strategy is theory of comparative advantage. Second, two countries'wage of homogeneous labor is different, which makes some portions of labor surplus flow from China to USA. From the aspect of Chinese own situation, reason of the imbalance is exorbitant foreign investment in Chinese export, lots of trade interest is transferred to foreign-funded enterprise.At last, some policy advices will be given in the fifth section. Though imbalance of trade interest distribution exists, China should insist on open policy, because it is the premise of development. Specifically, China should improve quality of foreign investment, promote industrial structure, create economic theories, and exert international rules to confine the unreasonable situation.
