Economic growth is the common concern subject to the countries and regions all over the world. Due to the development of the theory of economic growth, the empirical studies of economic growth not only analysis the factors of one country's economic growth, but also analysis the factors of different countries' economic growth. Especially in the 20th century 90's, regional studies of economic growth have become the hot research on economic growth.Hebei Province is the economically big province in the central part, but has not yet become a economically strong province. In order to meet the needs of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration", accelerate its' economic development, and explore the impact of economic growth factors, this essay makes good use of "solow remaining value" which is the model of measuring economic growth and actual data of Hebei Province for 1991-2006 to analyze. In addition, this essay also tests contribution of technological progress through the econometric tests. Based on these analysis, the essay also fractionize the third industries to find out the internal factors of economic growth from the overall and sub-industry perspective. Based on the analysis, it shows the capital investment has played a pivotal role in the economic growth of Hebei Province. The contribution of technological progress was much smaller than capital investment. Moreover, the economic growth stage of Hebei Province is still in the transition phase of turning from mad rough growth which depending on capital, labor, equipment, etc to intensive growth which depending on knowledge, technology, high-tech talent-intensive. At last, the essay provides some recommendations based on the results.
